Monograms, Massages and a Milestone

Oh my how I love alliteration and it gives me a chance to catch up on a lot of post at once.

Everyone knows how I love monograms and I always share when someone does an awesome job for us and this time it was our friend Julie!  I just gave an idea of what colors we wanted and she went above and beyond what I could imagine. They were so detailed. Thanks Julie you are awesome :-)

A while back Hallie went to a rocking birthday party where the Mom treated the girls to a spa day! Hallie was so excited and I was envious since I have never had one :-)  They each got facials, massages and the royal treatment. Each girl also was treated to her own monogrammed robe-how cute is that?

At Hallie's school they reward you for reaching certain milestone points in AR reading. Once you have over 100 AR points you are treated to a tshirt and a field trip all expenses paid by the school! What a wonderful incentive for the students. Hallie reached the goal and the trip this year was Frog Legs- a jump house in Auburn.
I wasn't able to go on this field trip so I borrowed this picture from Lyn-thanks Lyn!

Goodbye Middle School

Hunter completed the 8th grade and next year moves to High School! I can't believe how time is flying by.
Where has my little boy gone?

The graduation ceremony was held in the High School gymnasium and just as the students were lined up to march out-the power went out and stayed out. Oh my goodness was it HOT! A summer storm had blew through and knocked down a power line so after a hour of waiting they went ahead with the ceremony under a few generator lights. Not the ceremony we wanted but I'm sure one that everyone will remember!
Here is an untouched picture to show how dark it was!
I told Hunter he had a direct line to God because he didn't like the thoughts of all those people watching him and he wasn't enthused about singing in the graduation ceremony and for the first time in 8th grade graduation history-graduation was held in the dark and they didn't sing! Regardless of the circumstances Hunter was just happy to be out of school!

~Dance Like No One is Watching~

The dance recital theme this year was the Evolution of Dance. The opening number featured different eras and genres of dance. It was amazing!
Hallie's favorite dance this year was Under the Sea partly because I think she loved this jazzy little costume :-)
My little girl is growing up (sniff, sniff)

Look at these beautiful girls

Hard to believe it's been 5 years already!
