Such a Strange Way

Look at our Kingdom Kidz singing "Such a Strange Way to Save the World" during the adult cantata. There wasn't as many participants as during their Christmas cantata but they gave it their all and sounded wonderful. My post are going to be a little out of order because I haven't got all the pics from their cantata edited yet.
We have such a great group of girls and boys!
Chad entertains us at work with stories of this little fella Cooper and he did so good!
I have been taking pictures of Logan, Hallie & Claudia at church functions since they were babies and they are growing up so fast

I'm Dreaming of a.....

White Christmas!!
Can you believe Alabama actually had a white Christmas?! With shrieks of delight from Hallie who excitedly said I have prayed for this all my life. Now granted that is only 8 years but Tim read it was the 1800's the last time it snowed in our little town on Christmas so I think it was something to be excited about!

Merry Christmas 2010

Note to self, mail Christmas cards next year instead of just making them on Shutterfly! :-)
Blessings from our house to yours
Merry Christmas

Practice & Parade

The dance studio performs a dance at each Christmas parade. I snapped a few pics as the girls practiced before show time.
Hallie and Gracie waiting to practice. Gracie is as beautiful inside as she is out. Hallie was blessed when they ended up in the same homeroom in school and also share so many activities.
Look at all these pretty girls dressed out in their Christmas colors
 Kick it girls
Millie Grace looked especially cute
Sweet precious Rachel I think she is such a doll.
Outside excitingly waiting for showtime! Look at Claire all decked out!
Jump in bed, cover up your head because Santa Claus comes tonight
Here Comes Santa Claus right down Santa Claus Lane
Once the girls were finished they got to enjoy the rest of the parade. The band led the way
We were excited we got to see Justin!
Small town parades consist of LOTS of fire trucks and rescue units.
However, this parade didn't consist of many floats so everyone was wowed by this Winter Wonderland
And this one was decked out for a patriotic Christmas
I loved this simple message to remember the true meaning Happy Birthday Jesus
As many of you know Hallie loves horses so the end of the parade was her favorite.
And what they left behind as a little memento reminds us why they are the last thing in the parade :-)

Crying Wolf & A Christmas Tree

What do these 2 things have in common?
They are the reasons our tree was up and decorated a week before Thanksgiving ;-)

Bless Hallie's heart when she gets the least bit anxious she has an ailment. We have lovingly told her the story of the little boy who cried wolf several times. A few weeks ago we were supposed to go out for dinner on Friday night and Hallie complained of not feeling good-but this time her Dad had lost his patience with her. Fast forward to the next morning Hallie has a fever of 101* and we head to the Doctor with one guilty feeling Dad.
On the ride home Hallie weakly asked her Dad if we could put the Christmas tree up. Let me set the story we have never put our Christmas tree up before Thanksgiving but he jumped at the chance to say yes.  So a week before Thanksgiving for the first time ever in our 21 years of marriage our tree was up.
With the addition of the Alabama ornament Hallie and I made earlier this year
The homemade ornaments you see with fabric and beads mean a lot to me my Aunt and I made them when I was newly married and she came to visit.
Hallie also has a small tree in her room-pink of course! We also added Hallie's monogram letters this year that my talented sweet friend Kellie made.

Greer Update

My friend Anita asked me the other day if Hallie's elf had came back to visit and I said oh yes for a while now so I thought I had better do a Greer update. If you know Hallie she starts begging for Greer to come back usually around her birthday in March and resorts to all sorts of begging from Santa.
She wrote all sorts of notes, there have been dozens!
We even found notes in the freezer-since it was cold like the North Pole they got there faster and from what I understand Hallie shared this knowledge with her friends so lots of Mommies found similar notes in their freezer too :-)
And finally.....in October Greer arrived
Of course she has caused all kinds of mischief like toilet paper strung from the ceiling and all across the room
Hallie must think Greer is too skinny because she's left her more food this year than ever. Tim said he will be glad when Greer goes home because she is eating us out of house and home!
She also has had a few romances since she has been visiting this year perhaps a love triangle :-)
I did think the smiley face with the food was pretty cute!
In a few days Greer will have to return to the North Pole and I know Hallie will be sad but we will await her return next year.
